Are you remarkable?
I love social media… and specially I love forums… in forums is where I can realize quickly how many “web guys” are out there.
Specially when the “web guy” is an expert in SEO, hosting, pay per click, social media, branding, IT consulting, coffee making, wine tasting, etc, etc.
The funny thing with “Web guys” is that their need for being the “web guy” is because they fail to be remarkable in ONE thing…
By being “web guys” they become what they call in Spanish “TODERO” (not torero)
Todo = everything
Todero = someone that makes/does everything….
It reminds me of Seth Godin (Marking Superstart and bigger than BONO )
How Dare You?
How can you squander even one more day not taking advantage of the greatest shifts of our generation? How dare you settle for less when the world has made it so easy for your to be remarkable?
So I guess that’s why I realized that I’m not remarkable in many things… I’m not remarkable in Footie, or graphic design, or in software developer or in space exploration.
That’s why I decided to create a list of people that I think in a way or another … are remarkable in their business…
This is my tiny list of real experts…

The guys behind Market Samurai are remarkable… they not only provide a top product and the most affordable price in the world. But they are honest with their customers, their are proud of their product and instead of being hungry for more revenue, they are hungry to improve their own product.

This is a remarkable idea: The option to bid, buy and purchase domain names in the aftermarket in Australia. The system work, the are constantly trying to improve their system and you can see that the idea can only grow stronger and better. Drop.com.au is a lovely way to be part of the domain name industry in Australia. If you play smart (like in poker) you can win BIG time.
Eleghant Themes
Eleghant Themes is one of the coolest wordpress themes sites I have ever foud… not only because they are just simply beautiful , but they are outstanding , they shine.. you just want to try them in your site. I’m just testing their new theme in my new site SEO Pack. So Nick Roach is for sure in my list.
I have tried every single hosting company under the sun… I even tried to go Aussie and host my sites in Australia. Big mistake. Hostgator is remarkable… they provide 24/7 phone and chat support. They are a REAL company. With people behind the phone lines and their support system. I have over 300 sites with them… never one problem. I guess in this case.. USA hosting rules.
Regardless what I think of their burgers (I hate seeing my 4 year old boy begging to eat at makdounal) … I believe the Ronald McDonald Houses for families with Kids with Cancer… is simply fantastic. Families with Cancer need all the support in the world, and being able to have a break from the “hospital” environment is vital for their heart and soul.

I loved LEGO.
I love LEGO
I will always love lEGO.. and the the remarkable part is that my kids also love LEGO. LEGO works every year in producing new products, new styles , new designs.
Do they need to come up with new products? May be be not… may be the 450 products they have already are enough… but their customers love their products so much, they demand more products… more creation… more boxes full of magic little pieces of amazing colors and shapes…
So the question I need to ask myself is…. am I remarkable as an SEO consultant?
I don’t know… I just can say that I wish one day to be remarkable. That being remarkable is a path… a philosophy … the constant effort towards avoiding mediocrity .
I believe that being the best is also loving what you do… as much as possible.
I love what I do. I love the fact that working in SEO can bring real changes to companies. Changes that can increase their revenue, improve their business, help to have more customers and enjoy their own business life…
