Gab’s Comment: Thanks! In fact we have test the blog from California… specially with bored spammers. Glad to know it works.

I guess I could spend all day posting my top blog spam messages…. but it seems the more I read, the more I realized that many spammers are wasting their talent.. may be they could get a basic copywriter job?

The importance of Google PR from Google…

“PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.

PageRank also considers the importance of each page that casts a vote, as votes from some pages are considered to have greater value, thus giving the linked page greater value. We have always taken a pragmatic approach to help improve search quality and create useful products, and our technology uses the collective intelligence of the web to determine a page’s importance.” Source.

OK.. so it really sounds complex.

but wait… can you get a page rank 5 in less than 2 months.

Oh yes you can. You just need a VISA CARD.

Ready?

Let’s do it.

Go to Snap domains…

Find domain names that are going to expire.

Find a nice domain name close to expiration date.

Find a domain name with Page Rank 6 or 7…. (do your homework I’m not going to tell you how.)

Pay $60-70 to capture the domain name. (or may be more)

Get the domain name.

Get a new  hosting.

Replicate the site… replicate it 100% so the humble owner will not noticed that in fact you capture the site and now you own an “authority” site.

then…

easy, add your link in the footer. Something like “powered by my crappy site”

Easy. Sad. But Easy.

Now what?

Wait.

Yes. Wait.

go and get a coke.

(or a coffee)

then chill…

wait for the next Google PageRank update.

Voila! you have a Page rank 5 if you are lucky. (Page rank 4 if you are unlucky)

So what now?

I guess time to buy balloons and beer! Time to celebrate! Your site is now a page rank 5 and I guess you are a happy camper and are ready to impress the world about how important your site is

BECAUSE your site is NOW really important =)

Lesson to be learned: I still find amazing Google makes tells users that PageRank takes in consideration “500 million variables” when in reality anyone with a Visa Card buying pre-owned domain names with PageRank can increase PageRank to any other site. SEO companies know that. Internet Marketers now that. Domain name brokers now that.

So if PageRank is about “important sites”… why it’s so easy to manipulate? I wonder…

My business is well… booming… and in fact I can’t take more SEO work at the moment and in many cases I have to refer some SEO work to other SEO professionals.
That’s why I wonder why other SEO companies seem to be struggling.

I mean, if you provide value, if you are honest and you do things properly, you should be able to get proper results for your clients… and then, well… your reputation will grow.

That’s why I find amazing when a supposed Australian SEO company, decides to take INDIAN TACTICS (and if you are Indian, READ ON….) and decide spamming their SEO services.

But what I find even more UBER-STUPID is when they SPAM their crappy offers to ANOTHER SEO company. (well, I’m not a company but you guys get the point)

Dam, how stupid can they REALLY BE?????

Well welcome to SEO COMPANY (NAME REMOVED), the new SEO company in town… where this morning I got this beautiful email from his “NATIONAL SALES MANAGER” <—- very important title

SEO COMPANY (NAME REMOVED) UNREQUESTED EMAIL:

I visited your website http://www.seoforayear.com.au and I noticed that you are currently missing out on first page rankings in Google for keywords and key phrases that are potentially profitable for your business. These keywords are used thousands of times monthly by potential customers looking for what your business has to offer.

We specialize in achieving first page, organic, search engine rankings for businesses like yours. We are an Australian company that has helped hundreds of Australian and International businesses and I would welcome the opportunity to do the same for your business.

We are so confident in our ability that we offer no contracts – you can cancel at any time – and we give you your money back in full if we cannot deliver on our promise. This is our guarantee to you.

That means all our clients could cancel today, if we did not deliver the profits that we promise. Our unique methods consistently increase rankings for all the keywords vital to our client’s business success.

You are competing for the first page. If you don’t do this, your competitors will.

Can I call you?

I would like to have a chat with you to explain to you in minutes how we can achieve this for you.

If you prefer I can email you with further information on our company which includes our proposal. Please let me know.

I look forward to hearing from you.

National Sales Manager
NAME REMOVE TO AVOID SHAME ON THEM
Level 29, Chifley Tower
2 Chifley Square
Sydney, NSW 2000 Australia

Off course the most lovely idea is that this comes from a website with zero page rank, and 41 backlinks that NOBODY has ever heard off.
So let’s try to figure out why this “AUSTRALIAN” SEO company behaves like the typical INDIAN SEO Company… shall we?

First let’s look at who owns the site?

These are the records from the Australian whois.
Domain Name
Last Modified 18-Aug-2011 07:49:47 UTC
Registrar ID Aust Domains
Registrar Name Aust Domains
Status ok
Eligibility Type Partnership
Registrant Contact ID R-001291132-SN
Registrant Contact Name Prince Vasquez
Registrant Contact Email prince@websitedesignph.com

Mmm interesting, prince@websitedesignph.com …. will PH means Philippines?
Lets check it out by visiting websitedesignph.com.

So what do we found here?

Established in 2008, Website Design PH is a full service web design and SEO company and interactive internet marketing agency headquartered in Quezon City Philippines.

So yes… is in fact a website owned by someone in the Philippines? (It seems like) Mmmm now we understand a bit who is behind the SPAM I got this morning.
OK. Cool, now let’s look a little bit more about the history of the “company”

So far the so called SEO company has..

No clear info in their website about who they are.

No Customers profile on their site.

No domain name age history

No Domain name Authority

and No idea about Australian law for email marketing (or spam)

Also… it’s registered in Australia by a company called “NAME REMOVE ONCE AGAIN” but their contact name is someone in the Philippines called “Prince Vasquez” .

Mmm so I’m getting confused here.

But may be it’s me.May be it’s my latino blood that makes me look at the “bad side” always. So let’s keep digging…

Let’s do a bit of research and try to find where they are located.
Because may be Gab is wrong and these guys are in fact a huge SEO company and I’m making a big mistake.

Level 29, Chifley Tower
2 Chifley Square
Sydney, NSW 2000 Australia

And guess what I found?
Mmm a virtual office!
Part of “http://www.servcorp.com.au/virtual-offices”

SURPRISE SURPRISE…

Ok… so I guess I will try to find who Terry Norris is:

Well, when googling their SEO manager name and any term related to SEO, I had no luck. He simply doesn’t exist ….

OK…. but may be I’m wrong, may be this SEO company is in fact emailing me from Australia… Right?
WRONG AGAIN GAB!!

Let’s look at the email:
IP Location: Philippines Philippines Pldt_gntc10ki01_dhcp
ASN: AS9299
Resolve Host: 112.201.224.178.pldt.net

Gosh… ! So they are in fact sending me an email frm the Philippines.
And not only from the Philippines but Mr Prince (Very cool name) is sending me the email directly.

X-Source-Sender: (PrinceVAIO) [112.201.224.178]:58161
X-Source-Auth: vasquezp
X-Email-Count: 3

So if Mr Prince is sending me the email… do I need to call the Sales manager to understand why an Australian SEO company is spamming me about SEO, when clearly they have NO IDEA about SEO and they are so stupid they even spam another SEO person in the same industry.

And then we wonder why some new SEO players in this industry never achieve any type of success.

the Answer:

Lack of Brain cells mate! Lack of brain cells!

——————————–

Interesting update: THE SEO COMPANY contact me today and in a very non happy way they announced that they are not breaking any law and this is a free world and that my site is about SEO and they can send me any type of email.

You are a fly on the wall mate – they said. We can do what ever we want.

I don’t agree: This is a copy of SPAM ACT
http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD/pc=PC_310513

Te Spam Act prohibits the sending of unsolicited commercial electronic messages- known as spam – with an Australian link. A message has an Australian link if it originates or was commissioned in Australia, or originates overseas but was sent to an address accessed in Australia.

If your business uses any form of e-marketing, including email, SMS (text message), MMS (image-based text messages) or instant messaging, you must understand and meet the following three key requirements of the Spam Act:

Consent – the message must be sent with the recipient’s consent. The recipient may give express consent, or under certain circumstances consent may be inferred from their conduct or an existing business or other relationships

Identify – the message must contain accurate information about the person or organisation that authorised the sending of the message and how to contact them

Unsubscribe – the message must contain a functional ‘unsubscribe’ facility to allow the recipient to opt out from receiving messages from that source in the future. Unsubscribe requests must be honoured within five working days.

A message does not necessarily have to be sent out to numerous addresses to be considered spam. Under Australian law, a single electronic message can be considered spam.

(my Notes: IN THIS CASE, : They didn’t have my concent, and I coudn’t unsubscribe. )

The supply or use of address harvesting software or harvested email addresses for the purpose of sending spam is prohibited.

IN THIS CASE, they didn’t contact my email address, they in fact contact me via the email in my “whois” , therefor It seems they may have use some type of automatic email system.

(My Notes: Regardless the case.. it seems that when I spoke to the SALES MANAGEr [ the guy that told me I'm a fly in the wall] , and it seems he forgot what a commercial email is… so here we go)

What is a commercial electronic message?

The Spam Act defines a commercial electronic message as any electronic message that:

offers, advertises or promotes the supply of goods, services, land or business or investment opportunities

advertises or promotes a supplier of goods, services, land or a provider of business or investment opportunities

assists a person to dishonestly obtain property, commercial advantage or other gain from another person.

The Act classifies an electronic message as ‘commercial’ by considering:

So if SEO is a war, then this is a new rocket. Ladies and Gents.. and all of you (my 12 loyal readers!) Gab new site is coming up soon.
presenting

SEO professional .com . au

Yep. I bought the domain name that I wanted

In reality I can’t believe how easy it was. I did 4 amazing steps .

Found the owner contact name and phone number.
Made a phone call.
Made an offer.
bought the domain name.

So why buying a domain name?

Well, in this case for some clear reasons… it’s the exact keyword of what I do for a living.
It’s easy to remember… and by obvious means it has already ranking and once I provide some extra TLC the ranking will only be higher.

The idea will be mainly to build a site with a lot of content, where I will try to explain (like in this blog) the right way vs the stupid way of doing SEO, hiring SEO companies or understanding what the heck Google really want from us.

Last week was a great week, I purchased 2 domain names… (the second one still in the process) and these domain names are what my industry will call “Gems” .

The important point with Gems is: You need to take care of them, because at the end of the day… is the message and the content of the site what makes the sale not the ranking.

So I will keep this update short and I hope to announce when I have a new site at SEOprofessional.com.au ready to show.

When google updated the Page rank a few days ago noticed a few changes… but one of the most funny changes came from SEOconsultant.com.au a site that clearly with such a huge page rank had a difficulty covering it’s tracks/links….

You see , I noticed a Page Rank 7 in the site in mention and I said to myself…

- Mmm Page rank 7 … that can’t be right.

So I did a small analysis and surprise , surprise, surprise… look what we have.

Well, he have a nice blog farm… a very nice… a Page rank 8 blog farm about COOKIES!!!! Yes… they love cookies and they also love to sell page rank 8 backlinks.

So the site in mention engaged Allaboutcookies.org to provide a nice link for “search engine optimization service” .

So is this stupid?

Is it stupid to go out there and buy a page rank ?

Well yes.. stupid and expensive… stupid because you are doing it in such an obvious way that someone like was going to eventually realize of your paid-page-rank increase ….

Because trust me… a do follow page rank 8 backlink for sure will help ring some bells as soon as someone do a backlink analysis … specially if the freaking backlink is about COOKIES!!!!

.. well, there will always be another Allabotucookies, another farm… and another web owner that can’t find another way to rank.

Now…

A bit sad if you ask me, mainly because I’m pretty sure that backlink costs A LOT of money, and for sure that money could be invested generating good content, guest posts, press releases, or even proper backlinks that will SURVIVE any google paid link police. (mmm can you hear the sirens coming)

So what’s the lesson?

If you buy links, don’t be so silly and buy them and point them directly to your site. Be more original next time .

You can always sponsor sites, but if you do, be sure this sites are clean sites, are proper sites that are not “selling links” promoting the amazing benefits of passing page rank.

and please… come on! Don’t be so freaking obvious… don’t think that your own industry checks your links daily…?

And if you buy links… and you are in the SEO industry, don’t be surprised when someone find them and writes a post like this one.

::::::::::::::::::

Sunday July 3rth , 8pm…
This post was edited by requested of the owner of the site in mention.

Name removed from the post.
But I still disagree the nature of the link and the authenticity of the site providing this lovely Page rank 8 backlinks

The owner claims the link was never purchased and it was given away as a friendly gesture. But it seems the site has a clear “Advertise” policy where you can buy links from the site, therefor my claim and the reason for my post… makes 100% sense and I still believe is completely valid.

Last week I welcome to my SEO program 5 new clients… 5 new clients that told me in a few words: We are sick of SEO companies in Australia.

I find this sad, funny and ironic. Many of these SEO companies are in some sort of way (in theory) , good companies, but it seems they keep failing in the same points: They forget about their customers, they forget about doing things RIGHT, being FAIR with the prices they charge and COMMUNICATE with their customers about the progress of their SEO.

You see, for me my customers are right after my kids and my wife… mainly because thanks to my customers, I can have the lifestyle that I want and work in the way I WANT.

So if you have a website, perhaps you have already been approached by different companies claiming to help your website get targeted traffic through a technique known as SEO, search engine optimization. This is quite normal, and these people approaching you are correct because SEO can generate many visitors towards your website. Nonetheless, it’s crucial that, if you are ever to need such services, you select the right company for the job for optimum results.

There are basically millions of SEO companies sprouting up every day and telling which SEO company in Australia is good from the other can be a daunting task for people with little or no knowledge on the whole SEO stuff.
That said, there are some obvious things that have to be cleared up before you decide to hire a SEO company to help promote your site.

So let’s talk about it.. shall we?

First of all, the company has to employ ethical SEO techniques, it has to be affordable, and has to have excellent communication with clients.

Let’s first focus on importance of ethical SEO techniques.

It’s important because it will mean your site will be promoted through legitimate ways and will take away all the risks of your business being black listed from the search engines indexes. Yahoo and Google will without a doubt shun unethical SEO as it only exists to manipulate the search engines. (Now getting a site slapped by Google it’s not SO easy… but the last thing you want to do, it’s to handle your site to a team of link builders in Pakistan, for them to start spamming forums with your lovely website link, attached to each spamming action)

On the other hand, ethical SEO will ensure your website is ranked high because of the quality of its content and the quality of the internal and external link structure. Needless to say, it will ensure you site ranks high in the results page for years to come.
(in a few words: if you do crappy SEO, you usually get crappy results in the long run)

Affordability is the second thing you have to look at.

You will sure get a company that will charge you an arm and leg to simply promote your site. Sadly, there are a lot of cowboy companies out there taking advantage of unknowing clients. Luckily, there are ways out of this and one sure way is to do your own research regarding the whole of SEO and its services before you start looking for a company to hire. This way, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what you’ll be paying for, if it’s worth it, and what to expect in return.

If you land a good SEO company that observes ethical SEO and is quite affordable as per your budget, you’ll be a step ahead, and your last step should be to find out the type of communication that exists between the SEO agency and its clients. A good way to find out this is to contact companies that have previously used the SEO Company that you wish to work with and ask how they would rate the company’s communication services. Enquire about the relationship they had and whether all their queries were answered on time during the promotional work process.

Ethical SEO – clear, affordability – clear, good communication – clear, you can be confident that the company you wish to deal with is a good one. It can however be very easy to miss out on such factors but you’ll be the one who’ll suffer the consequences. Ensure you do a lot of homework and all will be well.

Now, if you still can’t find any proper SEO company, hire an SEO Ninja consultant instead?

There is someone called Robert Steers, I don’t know him, but I know a bit ABOUT him,

Robert Steers owns a company (ANOTHER MARKETING COMPANY) Called Creative Development and clearly in the last few months he has been trying to jump in the SEO wagon. But instead of creating something cool, something fresh, something unique… he decided to use others’s peoples terms to attract some tiny traffic. In this case, we used one of my sites name… SEO for a year.

This it’s not a unique idea, in fact this is usually done in affiliate marketing, where you are trying to “capture” some traffic from popular trends.

But to do this using other Australian Professionals terms it’s well LAME
Mainly because Mr Steers tactics shows that clearly can’t come up with his own term to attract traffic and needs to “capture” some traffic of people looking for their competition.

- So Am I upset for the fact they try to capture traffic from the competitors?

No…

What upset me is that they spend more time getting benefit from others peoples names and good reputation rather than working in his company own name, own ranking… and own products.

In case you don’t know I own SEOforayear.com.au and over the last 12 months over 70 companies in Australia have decided to work with me, trusting me as their SEO professional.
Many other GOOD seo professionals know it, they respect it, they understand my offer and they do their own business without affecting mine.

Mainly because there is no need to go for each other ideas, strategies, products and names.

But obviously, Robert loved the idea so much, that instead of coming up with something like SEO for 12 months… or the SEO year plan… he decided to “keyword snipe” the term and benefit from some of the reputation my tiny campaign has created.

Well… welcome to the Australian SEO industry!

Because this is what ALWAYS happens here…. and that’s why I really wan to showcase what’s wrong with this industry:

PEOPLE IN THIS INDUSTRY ARE LAZY .

Lazy because they spend more time checking what other people are doing , instead of trying to be unique and create something worth copying.

And the fact is… it doesn’t matter if Robert Steers wants to use my name “SEO for year” to get ,traffic by using the term… the fact is… I will always have 15 more projects running that will bring 100 times more success that we can EVER achieve.

Why?

Because my idea is unique… but his strategy is not.

He is part of a tribe of people waiting to steal other peoples ideas and piggy back from other’s people names, brands and products.

You find them everywhere, in all industries, in all type of professions.

So because I know Robert Steers can’t wait to steal more ideas, names and keywords… of other “competitors’ , so I have decided to give him a hand.

Here we go Robert:

No Rank No Cash

Yep…. mmm a bit more difficult to copy what one, don’t you think.

What you do is you offer SEO services and you don’t get paid ONE CENT until you get them rank? Curious…? feel free to copy the idea and check it out.

or what about this site?

Internet Ninja…. (yes! This site!)

can you be an authority in Australia just by having 1 blog? Copy my blog. you can have Robertistherealinternetninja.com.au

What about My SEO Tools.com.au?

Or SEO consutlant Secrets.com ?

Or let say you launch SEO course.com?

or wait… may be you want to rank 1st in Australia for SEO packages?

Because that’s what he is doing after I decided to confront him on an email this morning….

Basically we were using it as a kind of weather balloon to see how particular pages could rank in a low competition markets when we knew what the competition was doing. It a more long winded explanation than that, but you get the idea.

I get the point… but I hope this type of companies quickly get the point that they asking for free trouble.

Because well… At the end of the day this type of behavior just gives me more energy, more energy to be honest with myself, my customers and my visitors, and more energy to send tons of backlinks to this post and rank as high as possible for terms related with their company.

Am I going to try to rank for their own terms?

No. I’m a bit better than them. I flight a bit higher. Trying to be an SEO professional with some type of “values” may be a stupid idea, but I like it….

They are all Super-Jedis… unique Ranking Masters… in fact any SEO consultant seems to be a mix of MacGyver + Mr T with a bit of Xmen.. seriously.
Don’t you know it already?
SEO professionals are b*d ass warriors, and Google masters of the universe, real Ninjas with unique powers.. until…

mmm wait…

until they get confronted by another SEO expert to PROVE a theory and do a ranking experiment.

Ohhhh do I need to prove my theory?

Mmm not good.

Are you asking me to a Ranking challenge where I have to put my money where my mouth is?

Mmm not good.

Not good because we all hate to “work”…and because we are not Mac Gyver (I can’t build a bomb with a glass of mil and a piece of paper!)

In this so-called SEO industry…. we all hate to really confront the fact that we believe in ghosts, that we believe in things we haven’t tested, that we preach theories that we don’t even really know if they are true or not.

And the reason?

We want to fit in.
We want to be nice sheep… politically correct sheep, we want our customers to say “WE REALLY UNDERSTAND THIS INDUSTRY” and we want want to just be another of the “nice guys” around.

And is thanks to this laziness that we stop thinking, researching and really trying to go out of our comfort zone and experiment what SEO it’s all about.

SEO is a moving art, a moving science, a constant chaos… like a big, nasty, ugly Bull in a Rodeo.
You can’t really know what comes ahead, but you can be sure, if you train enough you will be the one having your 8 seconds of famous.

And that’s why many times SEO experts discover quickly that they are not the brave RODEO cowboys, instead they are the cowboys running AWAY from the Bull, isntead of riding the bull

So how to detect these Rodeo clowns claiming to be Rodeo Cowboys??

* They never accept any ranking challenge… because they understand they can’t pull ranking:

SEO it’s about pulling ranking. If you can’t pull ranking, you can’t be involved in this industry. In the same way a doctor job is to save lives… your job is to get a site from the darkness of ranking… and bring it to the 1st page.

* They don’t accept the idea of SEO with money back guarantee…

Mainly because, well… they can’t rank
Remember? So money back guarantee it’s a big no, no… hey!

They want to get paid , regardless if they get you rank or not!

This means, the will spend more time claiming that “you can predict ranking” instead of offering an strategy when that ranking will achieved.

They love to praise their results … but without providing you all the facts.

One of the best ways to see detect these type of SEO-Expert is when you see in their sites statements like

~~~ “We Rank 1st over 56.000.000 competitive sites!” ~~~
The reality is: No you don’t have 56 million sites competing  for the term you rank, in the same way, I don’t have 1.5 milllion sites competing for the keyword : SEO consultant.
Instead I only have 20, or even less sites that are in fact competing to rank for that keyword
The rest.. the other 1.499.80 sites are just sites that Google find for that keyword: But obviously not competition.
So in a few words: Hey… I’m not such a though guy, in fact I’m nothing amazing, or even an “expert”… but at least, I’m honest enough to realize that I’m not MacGyver just because I’m first for this term…
Do I sound bitter? you bet… mainly because it seems the web dunes are full of useless content about what SEO strategy it’s all about.
Just last week in Linkedin SEO professional group… I heard SEO professionals announcing the word: “Don’t bother to do any link building, google doesn’t want us to do link building… in fact please avoid it… just write content and traffic will arrive”
As soon as these post was posted there was an army of sheep that posted agreeing that yes… links are not required… links are over rated.
OMG
OMG
OMG
So if links are over rated why the top credit card companies in Australia spend thousands investing in building network of sites to increase their page rank and inbound links, instead of investing their money in hiring more content writers?
So because the prove it’s in the pudding let’s take a look at some examples:
Term: web hosting (lovely for any hosting company)
1st position: Digital Pacific…
So let’s pressume that links are NOT important to achieve this PREMIUM ranking…. does Digital Pacific has the best CONTENT? Well… no… it’s just plain content, in fact they don’t have so many pages indexed like the competitors or even an older domain name.. but what they have… oh boy… it’s NICE LINKS
PR 7 Link from http://www.science.org.au/
Anchor link: Web hosting
So may be this is just a mistake… but obviously it’s not, let’s take a look at another adorable Page rank 5 anchor link
Page rank 5 site: http://www.etwa.org.au/
Anchor link: web hosting
So it’s this a sin? No really, it’s just the way the game works. And if you don’t like it.. quit today because it doesn’t seem things will change.
Obviously, the SEO experts that teach seminars, and go to conferences, will never mention this in one of their “seminars” because clearly people don’t want to hear this… people want to believe, the brave SEO experts are indeed Brave Rodeo cowboys    specially when you are paying THAT cowboy to improve your website without any type of real link building strategy.
No.. I’m not the only one, and I’m not the best… BUT  for sure I’m the ONE with the worst spelling and grammar in the whole SEO industry.
But here we have ladies and gent the true blood , the people that in fact know what they are talking… the guys that I consider REAL and not just a bunch of monkeys scamming and ripping small businesses in Australia. (at least the ones I know about)
So here we go… these are my fellow SEO Ninjas and one day, that I respect, read, and spy their links daily…    let me present them to you.
Daniel Duckworth
I met Daniel via chat, he bought my product (SEO consutlant Secrets) and we had a quick phone/skype chat. I like this dude… his creativity and the way he has approached his business are great.
He is located in Melbourne and I believe he can provide ten times more value for money than any “SEO company” in Victoria – he is the real deal.
He can pull ranking (a bit important when doing SEO    and for sure this is one of the guys to keep in your mind . He may be the most talented young SEO dude out there.
I really hope to do something with Daniel in the future…  if you need him find him at : http://www.danielduckworth.com.au
Alem Vel  from Perth SEO
This guy is a rock start… not only he has heaps of experience, he knows what he is talking about, and he is just a NICE NICE NICE GUY (yes 3 times nice)
This is the type of SEO nerd I ask him questions when I feel that I want to scream “I hate Google” …
Alem just launched an amazing SEO training program and if you are in Perth and looking for top SEO services, Alem can really put you on there. (but if you can’t find him, call me instead lol  )
Alem obviously it’s not as SEXY as me… but he tries hard (so kudos for trying!)
Find more about Alem at http://www.perth-seo.com
Dejan Petrovick
Dejan has stopped by a few times, and I have followed his tracks for over 1 year .
I like what he does and his company is extremely solid. (Also some nice clients). What I like from him and his company is THEY UNDERSTAND the way the game works.. and when you read their blog, you know he has tested different strategies and he is not just trying to impress (like so many others).
Dejan Team  know their stuff. Check his very serious site   at http://dejanseo.com.au
Matthew Cummins
Matt it’s a great fellow FlyingSolo member and we have worked in some nice small projects.
I really like this approach and I have see him grow (SEO wise) quiet a bit in the last year.  I believeMatt one day will have a big SEO company and may be… if I’m lucky I will get a job in a “proper company!” .
Matt Blog BrandPolice it’s great and for sure you can see that his approach is NBS and full of valuable info , you can find Matt at http://www.brandpolice.com.au
Judd Exley from Jex Analytics
I love the way Judd starts his intro in his site “I am a Search Engine (Google) Expert” -.. and for sure he is an expert.
This is my favorite SEO cowboy – but cowboy in a proper-healthy and brave way. The cool thing behind JexAnalytics it’s that I know Judd has a very solid IT background and understands the Algorithm, the way trust
works, the proper way Google Juice flows… not only his SEO skills are clear, the has a pretty good programming background and has some pretty amazing SEO tools – made in house. (pretty dam impressive) http://www.jexanalytics.com
(Now…  how COOL is this guys hat!)
Liza Shulyayeva from Techalite.com.au
Sometimes I can be very “south American” and a bit to “straight” and critical (hard), but this SEO-girl it’s one of the proper SEO professionals to keep in mind.
Not only she is a girl, something unusual in this jungle-industry…. (yep … she is real).. but she has some proper SEO-link building brain cells to prove that she knows what she is talking about.
It seems Liza not only understand the value of a “link” but the importance of “quality” behind SEO strategies and implementation.
This is the kind of SEO blogger that I love to tease and the fact that I spend some time reading her blog… it means there is some clear value in her approach. Find out why girls may rule the SEO world at http://www.techalite.com.au
~~  One other great SEO warrior to keep in mind: Aidan from MagicDust (very cool company) ~~
To all my fellow SEO consultants and Professionals… best of luck in the future and sorry for no anchor links my fellow competitors! ^_^
The problem with Experts it’s that sometime they are not experts, or sometimes they are experts in front of an army that want’s to believe they are experts and they
The problem with Experts it’s that sometime they are not experts, or sometimes they are experts in front of an army that want’s to believe they are experts and they want to ignore that may be … just may be… not everything it’s in fact intelligent, accurate or even practical.
So yesterday I read one of the most stupid posts in SEOmoz history. The Post was written by Paddy Morgan aboutHow to Build Links Without Fancy Tools
The idea of Paddy was kind of “cute”… the whole idea of “you can do SEO’ just with a notepad.
And I mention “cute” because it seems that every time you mention the use of SEO software, everyone looks at you as: “mmm meet a Blackhar SEO guy”..
instead of : Meet a guy that realized that driving  a car it’s faster that walking.
But the most concerning part of Paddy Morgan post is the idea of “How to Obtain Links in a Whitehat manner with the amazing use of an Excel File”
So get ready for an AMAZING SEO strategy:
Use Google to find Target Links
Find Cotnact Details and Write them in an EXcel File
Email the Link/website owner
Write their responde in the excel file
Responde to their email or try to follow up
That’s it!!! Welcome to SEOMoz SEO expert post
Obviously after reading such a plain and simplistic post I go and read all the comments of “PRO members” clapping excited about such amazing tips.
Yes… that’s it… go out there and request backlinks?
It’s that the way a real SEO consultant get links?
Really?
It may work if your client is: Charity for Blind Kids with no legs in Africa.
But if your client it’s a credit card website… well, good luck getting free links from other credit card websites.
The problem here boys and girls it’s how hipocritical all these PRO members and Experts A+ bloggers are.
They all write what the Quality Team from Google want’s to read… but not one of them has the balls to say: Hey! That’s a lot of b*ll….
Because the reality is…
These guys work as part of “marketing companies” and usually their salary doesn’t depend on their ranking of their clients.
They get paid even if they client ranks or not.
But how many of these A+ Gurus…  actually if they loose the rankig in their OWN sites…  then they will loose their job and salary?
Not to many I bet.
It’s all in the hypocrisy of this dam SEO industry that makes me a bit sick.
But the good news, it’s that I’m not the only one, there are so people out there with some serious “cojones’ like Kris Roaddruck with this amazing post
You know it always makes me laugh that it’s the white hats who are constantly admonishing snake-oil SEO salesmen. NEWS FLASH! You are that snake oil salesman. Every time you send your client a monthly bill without doing anything to rank their sites other than send off a useless link request or two and churn out some blog posts, you are ripping them off. You are the reason why no one believes SEO works. Because doing it your way doesn’t. Not so long as the other methods you are ignoring work better.
So it’s whitehat SEO a joke?
No it’s not… that’s not what Kris it’s trying to say… what’s it’s a joke it’s all the “SEO VATICAN Members’ that spend all day complaining of “dodgy tactics” where in fact they don’t move a finger to increase their clients ranking.
Sending emails to get backlinks?
Are you kidding me?
It’s 2011 …
How much do you get paid for doing a job that a monkey can do?
Find links… get their email and send them an email begging for a link… while your competitor gets 30 – 40 high PR links each day.
Yep… good luck with your manual white-hat snail-effective strategy Paddy!
In the meantime, the real SEO industry… not the guys that pay to be PROmembers and comment in this type of blogs, are out there, like beasts getting links, increasing Page Rank and creating authority faster than any other “marketing consultant”… because at the end of the day if you just go and read everything SEOMoz tells you to do: Let’s see how many years it will take you to rank for that keyword that you really want.
