Five Ausssie Dollar – the problem of Parasites

There are 2 type of people on the internet… the ones that CREATE , that bring NEW things to the plate, and the ones that decide to COPY and try to go along with the reputation of someone else … trying to get 5 minutes of fame and win some coins during their short ride.

That my friends are the Parasites: the “  I wanna be the next Facebook… but Instead of creating something new, I will make a similar site and create a different logo and work hard to convince people that I’m a real entrepreneur ”

But that people… are NOT an entrepreneur… in the same way I’m not an Astronaut.

That’s why I find funny when sites like Five Aussie Dollar come along, and Parasites decide to announce that paying $5 or $25 is the solution to ESCAPE from the High SEO fees that Australian SEO consultants and professionals charge to their customers.

In the words of Five Aussie Dollars…

“All the seo stuff will eventually be taken over by outsourcers, if we platform owners create a presence here in Australia. As you know the seo fees are expensive, all they ever do was the same stuff outsourcers do for seo.. but charges insane amounts of money, just to be ahead in the business.”

….

…..

mmm… NOW I’m concern… because this means that in a few weeks, or even months: I will be out of business.

So I decided to visit Five Aussie Dollars and Analise the quality of the service.

Are you ready for some fun? here we go:

“I will submit your site to 3000 backlink sites and directories to get your site indexed for $5″

I love this one… because the poster even confessed that he/she will use software to create this “links” … so here we go guys: You invest $5 for 3000 backlinks.

My question is: how much will you need to spend to recover from the too fast link accumulation penalty imposed by Google spam bot?

Then the OWNER of Five Aussie Dollar decides to Show us his amazing SEO skills… with the best combo EVER.

I will Create Over 3000 Backlinks for your website & submit your URL to 50 Search Engines & Submit URL to 20 Directories for $25

So in this case, we are getting 3000 backlinks but some extra juice.. 50 Submission to Search Engines (mmm very useful ) and 20 directories submissions (mmm again HUGE in the SEO arena, back in the late 90′s).

My question is: who in the right mind buys this packages? who will buy 3000 links without having any clear idea where the links are coming from?
from spam?
From blog commenting software that floods the internet like REAL parasites?
from where are the 3000 links coming? What are the authority? what is the relevance?

But then came the best offer/deal… the one that show me that this site… is simply a joke waiting for jokers to waste their money.

Are you ready? Please welcome… the illegal hacker… being promoted in an Australia website!

mmm not good for sure. Not only this is illegal… is a serious offense to promote actions that may result in criminal acts… even online. Maybe Dave (the owner of Five Aussie Dollar… needs to read a bit about some Rules to keep in mind while running a website.

So my overall conclusion: For sure a nice idea (the original one) but not a serious option to find any proper solution. Although Dave, the owner seems over excited about his discovery , clearly has very little idea about Public relations and how to build trust with the end user.

The point is not to pay just $5… because I can pay $5 to anyone out there.

Do Small Businesses value their business worth $5 ? Worth $5 for a logo? Or even $25? Is the image of  your company worth $25? What about your website Authority? Or your backlink strategy? Is that worth $25….

Well if you only have $5 to invest, then I guess you get what you paid for.

And Dave, if you are reading this, please post a comment.. I will give you a $5 per comment you post. (just email me your paypal and I will send you the $5 straight to your account !)

Post 4 times… and you can make $20 bucks mate… ! what are you waiting for?

The problem for companies and people trying to do genuine SEO is that so many people get drawn into scams like these, unaware that not only will they get no benefit from the ‘service’, but that worse, it can do real harm. We always try to explain to seo clients that it’s better for us to spend 2 months figuring out how to get one link from a relevant PR5 site than getting 3000 backlinks from irrelevant, unranked sites. Problem is they often don’t listen – they just see $50 for 3000 links or $500 for one link; 3000 it is then!!

    hi Mich
you are right… the funny thing is the ignorance from the buyer regarding what a link is.. it seems they think of links like vitamins.. the more I have the better… (mmm even If I end up with an overdose that sends me to hospital ;)

The site will not get a penalty from Google. If it was so easy to get a penalty I would be able to order a service like that for all my competitors and go past them in the SERP. But this is not possible. The worst that could happen is those links to be ignored.

Gary… if the site is new it can get a pennalty . You can’t apply that to your competitors because your competitors already have some trust levels with Google… but usually people that use that services, are people with brand new sites that by buying a pack of 10000 links, they just get flagged

I bet none of the 3000 backlinks are spam… :)
I actually got some blog comment spam the other day where the comment was “TL;DR”! They can’t even come up with decent fake comments anymore…

Daniel the definition of SPAM is difficult to clarify. Creating 3000 backlinks from an software that sends links to your Autogenerated sites is simply worthless…. ;)

I wrote some articles for someone on this site and was told that I would be paid for my efforts. I can see the money in an escrow account and it is supposed to have been paid tot me last Saturday.
However, it hasn’t been paid to me, nor have I received a reply to any of my emails asking why this hasn’t yet happened.
I am considering reporting this site to the appropriate authorities as they seem more and more like scam artists.

To be honest Laurence… I think is your own fault.
You join a site that it’s standard is “We pay very little”….
may be is better to work in a proper real site? Just my 2 cents mate.
