How changing your website can make Google Love you
We all talk recently about Google hating sites, about Google penalizing sites.. but what if is not Google, but it’s you.
What if your site sucks….. and Google has no option to NOT rank your site.
Well this week I had a new customer and the 1st step we did was to switch the site. We convert the site from an ugly frontpage site to a WordPress site, we optimize the site, we did some very soft link building and …. and … voila.
These are the results:

Amazing SEO skills?
Not really.. just plain logic. If Google can’t index your content properly, how the heck is Google going to rank you?
Obviously I expect this results to drop slightly but it shows that sometimes links are not THE ONLY thing that matters for Google.
I only wish I could optimize all sites like this one and that more business owners kick their old websites for new sites that are more content, Google, user friendly.
What do you think? you think ONSITE SEO has increased power since Panda Update?

Gabriel,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful idea though I didn’t think that this could help me rank my site. I appreciate it!
Cheers,
Dean

Very great post. I am newbie to SEO but I have 1 question. Does it help you get your site recognized by google easily when your website loads faster with great content?

Hey there Adam, quality contents, great contents will what help your site rank good in Google. Penguine 3.9 was just implemented and it’s goal is to rank only those sites with quality contents so it is indeed very important that your site has the contents that Google will notice to rank you in the search engine.
