This dude… yes dude….. contacted me a few years ago. He bought one of my products, and we ended up chatting via gtalk.. then I liked the guy so much… we had to meet for coffee in one of my rare trips to Melbourne. (I live in the middle of nowhere and I don’t really travel to “meet people” …
Then… mm then I don’t know, the dude became Daniel and I started to like him (A LOT in fact) . You see, it seems one of my passions lately is to find highly-unusual-smart-people-working-in-kick-ass-online-projects, and Daniel Duckworth is one of them. Smart, driven and not to serious.
His project DesignQuotes.com.au is one of that online businesses that I simply love. Original, very simple, powerful and useful.
So I decided to interview him…. here it goes
1 week ago I fired my best paying client. I was making over 45K per year just from this client. Overall… this was a BIG fish, the type of client people tell you: you need to get it and lock if for life!
But I fired them. I quit. I decided it was time to go… and that my life was going to be better WITHOUT them, instead of them…. but to understand why I decided to say said bye bye to $45000 extra per year, I needed to go back to basics.
It seems this has been the month of products… and looong phone chats. But hey! Penguin update has arrive and many web owners really need to re-consider that they are doing and how they are going to adapt.

Google is broken.
It broke based on greed.
Greed to protect brands. Greed to get more advertisers. Yep… I know what you think: Google is Good and Google want’s more quality. But you know what? you are wrong. Google is simply so confused about “how to protect their market” they are going down hill…… fast….
Although SEO is lovely at the end of the day you have to work your *ss off…. so what about trying something different? What about forum marketing?
you see I’m always looking for a bargain and If I can get a traffic bargain: Even better.
So can we get traffic that is FREE, converts and keeps coming back? Hell yes.
The secret? The old forum marketing idea, but this time improved with some vital Ninja Marketing Energy.
So Google de-indexed almost all the blog networks out there and clearly this was a big shock (for some people ) in the SEO community. Mainly the shock was for people whos revenue, ranking and “business model” depended on this mercenary link networks. And by mercenary, I mean any system that’s it’s only purpose is one: Increase ranking.
You see the problem of something like BMR (one of the networks that was de-indexed) is that the whole concept is one:
SEO for kids 2012… what a fantastic success. So yes, I’m back from Fiji after a week where crazy things happened in the SEO world. But let me get straight to the topic and let’s forget any news or updates of Evil Google 
. So as many of you know we raised over $1000 and with the great help of a lot of amazing people we brought over 25 kilos of pencils, coloring books, geometry sets, pencils, rules… and 2 nice laptops and a brand new printer to the kids of Nawaka District School.
Why are you NOT outsourcing ?
That’s the question today. Tomorrow I’m leaving and while I will be away, my business will still work… sites will still grow and content will still flow.
Now, it was not always that way.
